Kurt for “Der Standard”: I will seek compensation for war from Serbia

Vetevendosje Prime Minister Albin Kurti's post candidate, has interviewed the Vienna newspaper “Standard” before holding yesterday's elections in Kosovo, where it has talked about what steps it will take in case it comes out the winner. He has also spoken about the tax where he has claimed to remove it, [...]
He has also spoken about the tax where he has declared he will remove it, but that he will seek reciprocity with Serbia and compensation for the war.
Kurti has also declared that if he becomes prime minister, which in the first week will start dialogue with Serbs in Kosovo.
We'll replace the tax with the reciprocity principle. For example, Belgrade must accept our plates and documents, in which the Republic of Kosovo writes. We want to clarify the fate of the missing, regardless of nationality, both Serbs and Roma. Joint teams of Kosovo, Serbian and international investigators should be formed, who would analyse the mass cemetery”, Kutri has declared.
He also added that Serbia owes Kosovo compensation for war, a pension fund and 1,200 artefacts.
Asked why Pristina should sign an agreement with Belgrade, Kurti responded that good neighbourly relations are important and that without mutual recognition there is no EU membership.
Speaking of himself, he stressed that he is Albanian from nationalism and that Albania and Kosovo are two states, but one nationality. “meaning two Germanys, but not like Germany and Austria”, he said.
Asked whether it is still favourable to unite Greater Albania, he said he thinks it would take citizens to vote for him if there were a referendum.
“However, the referendum is not allowed, so I will respect the constitution until one day we are able to change it peacefully and democraticly. And this is not expected to happen soon”, Kurti concluded.
