National and regional efforts in the fight against terrorism, organised crime and cyber crime with operational support from Interpol will be addressed during the four-day conference.

Meanwhile, Kosovo is expected to again be challenged for membership in this organisation. Security acquaintances and international relations expressed sceptical that our country could be accepted this time again in this multilateral police organisation.

Although last year Kosovo failed, and several years ago it did not apply, lobbying preparations for this year are considered to have become less and more wrong.

Security Affairs Knower Nuredin Ibishi said the most needed moments for lobbies, Kosovo was found in early elections. That, according to him, has lost the interest of institutions to lobby properly and consistently.

On the other hand, according to Ibishi, Serbia's aggressive campaign and the place where the Interpol Assembly in South America will be held do not create a hopeful environment for Kosovo.

Meanwhile, international relations connoisseur Artan Murati told Kosova Preris that Kosovo should be more cautious in the application, as according to him, a potential refusal would negatively affect reports with member states and vote against.

While Serbia's lobbying campaign against Kosovo has not stopped. Their interior minister, but foreign affairs minister, said they would wage a tough fight so that Kosovo is not part of this police organisation.

Otherwise, to accept Kosovo needs the vote of two-thirds of member states, or of 194 countries, more than 120 votes must be secured.
