Haradinaj: My decision to resign was proved right, many challenges await us

Ramush Haradinaj writes that his decision to return sovereignty to decision-making was the right decision.

He writes that many challenges await Kosovo, and that he expects the quickest transition of Kosovo institutions.

Here's his status in FB:

My decision to return sovereign decision-making, right at a time of crossroads for Kosovo, was today proved to be the right move.

First I want to thank the Alliance's structures, supporters activists, and in particular any voters, who believed and voted the AAK coalition- The PSD, expressing my deep appreciation for the unbroken work and the firm faith they have forgiven us.

But today, I would like to thank the state institutions that had the burden of election organisation and their prosperity, for the high responsibility shown in office, throughout the entire process that is still under way.

The fair and peaceful race raised Kosovo and its citizens to a new standard of political and democratic maturity, serving as an exemplary model in the region. That's why all political parties are for that merit, indiscriminately.

I hope that with the same level of caution, this electoral cycle will be closed, paving the way without delay, restoring the Parliament, and new democratic institutions in the country.

Kosovo today does not differ from countries with advanced democracies, proving that we are as European as any other country in Europe, and our demands for integration and respect of our state and sovereignty are undeniable rights, as it is, Kosovo on February 17th.
