German Social Democrat MP Josip Juratovic calls the outcome of Kosovo's elections a victory for democracy.
Vetevendosje's victory under Albin Kurtin is for Josip Juratovic, German Social Democrat, MP in Bundestag, a victory of democracy. “A good sign for the country's Democrats and Democrats”.
The German MP told this DA on the eve of his visit to Serbia and Kosovo. “The government's possible change should be seen as a new dynamic in Kosovo's democratic development. However, the result, especially for Vetevendosje and Albin Kurti, is duty and at the same time responsibility to actively establish the democratic values of the party and the country. The hand must be extended to the country's Serb minority to reduce tensions. Here the new government must return dialogue in order to establish stability and, above all, normality for the people of Kosovo. This dialogue should open the way for both sides to a peaceful future with respect and mutual recognition”, Social Democrat MP and expert for Southeast Europe told DI.
Juratovic is located this Tuesday (8.109) in Belgrade with a group of colleagues from the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Affairs, namely, the parliamentary group dealing with civil crisis prevention. Remove conflict and netted action. The group is led by Green MP Otmar von Holtz. Parliamentary members of all parties participate in the delegation.
During their four-day stay (08 - 11 October 2019) MPs will be closely acquainted with the possibilities of restarting dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade and what the international side can do to help the process.
As disclosed by Bundestag, the delegation will visit Belgrade, Mitrovica and Pristina, where it will meet with representatives of the EU, the OSCE, KFOR and EULEX, representatives of NGOs, visit reconciliation projects on the ground and talk with representatives of youth and peace activists.
