Edi Rama: The maximum is being made to receive “Po-in” deserved for opening negotiations

Rama has made this statement through a video message, where he has also said one of the topics will be the decision-making of the European Council by tomorrow, where the EU's final stance regarding Albania and Northern Macedonia will be held, followed.

According to him, Chancellor Angela Merkel and Germany are trying intensively for a “Po”, for both countries, while the position of French President Immanuel Macron according to him does not match that of Germany and the overwhelming majority of member states.

I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic about the outcome of this process, but I realistically judge that it is becoming the maximum to get deserved yes and that today, to be honest, Albania has never been in this process. Little but sure is that France recognises and appreciates the progress made, just as it requires much more today from the EU itself than from Albania or North Macedonia, Rama has said.
