Today the second day of the week for the Rights of Crime Victims

Under the auspices of Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumez, and support of the US Embassy in Kosovo and U N-OMEN, today the Week for the Rights of Crime Victims will continue. On the second day, four other panels of discussion will be held on topics such as inter-institute co-ordination in dealing with human trafficking cases, challenges in dealing with cases of sexual violence during the war, victims' access, and relevant legislation of the region's states and social, psychological and media role in dealing with crime victims.
Otherwise, this year is marking the 10th anniversary of “Yava for the Rights of Crime Victims”.
Chief State Prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi has pledged that his commitment as chief state prosecutor and of all relevant mechanisms will not be lacking for cases of crime victims to be addressed directly throughout the procedures, while perpetrators receive merit sentences.
