Baton Haxhiu: We've reported correctly, Dehari thanked the ghost mediums

The following are the reaction of the medium, Klan Kosova, to the allegations made by Mr. Avni Dehari about their reporting after the death of Astrit Dehar, Vetevendosje activist. The reaction is unread by Periscope and does not reflect the editorial attitudes of our portal. After receiving the Swiss expert report on the autopsy of death [...]
After receiving the Swiss experts ' report on the autopsy of Astrit Dehari's death, Avniu's father mentioned several names on the occasion.
Among them is that of Klan Kosova television and the general director of this medium, Baton Haxhiu.
For this claim, Baton Haxhiu and Klan Kosova have the very answer they had given to the Independent Media Commission in November 2016, following a complaint in this Avni Dehar commission (it can be found from the following text).
This was then complaining about the broadcast made in Klan Kosova, of the Prizren prison footage, shortly after Astrit Dehar's death. He knows what answer he received from the KPM.
It is also good to have that answer shown to the public. This Thursday, Avni Dehari thanked some media for what he said, correct and professional work on reporting death in question. Some of these media he thanked, never existed at the time that Astrit Dehar died.
Turning to public opinion, Klan Kosovo position directed KPM, in particular Point 3 that you find below:
3. We realize that the family may be shocked by images of the last moments of Astri's life. But we believed and still believe that broadcast images offer, first of all, important information about his own family on the truth of his death, although not even the complete truth, because the broadcast does not see what happened in the prison cell itself. The latter would have to clarify with forensic expertise after the organisation where doctors and neutral experts were present, as well as representatives of the Vetevendosje Movement, as well as the company of other investigative measures aimed at clarifying the motives of suicide or murder, like two alleged options, for which TV Klan Kosova has given no opinion or decidation, because this should be identified by the experts. It's worth it.

TV stand Klan Kosova on Dehar family complaint
TV Klan Kosova expresses the most sincere condolences to the tragedy that happened to the Dehari family with the loss of her son at the Prizren Pre-burg Centre. The presiding staff understands the family's response to the transmission of the film material dealing with time until the tragedy occurred to carry the deceased to the hospital.
It was not easy for us as media to publish the video. For this reason, before the broadcast we consulted all the professional codices and laws to make sure that eventually we were not making any concessions in this regard.
We consider that the Deharidh Kosova family's complaint about broadcasting footage from the security cameras of the Prizren Para-burger Centre (QPP) is hasty and groundless. The transmission of the recordings on our part has had no privacy, and we believe not even the effect of the complaint sent to them. KAM's.
Astrit Dehar's death at the Prizren Pre- Hamp Centre, where he was held as one of the suspects in the six-member group that were being investigated for participation in the attack on the Kosovo Assembly building several months ago, has sparked extraordinary and understandable interest in opinion in Kosovo. Many demands have been laid out by all relief factors for the first possible explanation of the circumstances of death to disrupt speculation and politicization of this tragic case.
1: The complaint for the unauthorized “transmitting” coming from the Dehari family is not sustainable, because in this case it is not the Dehari family that should require transmission authorization. In KPM's announcement of the complaint, as it is formulated, there is no mention of what the subject should give permission for publishing the material recorded with the QPP camera.
The actual incidents we broadcast on the debate area show in 10,11.2016, as in opinion and various sources it has been required to publish the recordings of QPP cameras. Self-representatives of the Vetevendosje Movement, whose activist was Astrit Dehari, have publicly sought to broadcast pictures of the QKK security camera. The moment Klan Kosova TV has secured these images, and after we have convinced that they are authentic and undesigned, duty and professional ethics has forced us to publish them in the interest of opinion that required clarification of the truth about the death of Astri Dehar.
2. We have already examined transmitted images from the Ethics and sensitivity aspect of the Dehari family, as well as the general public, if there is a <x0m>-insulting, deignive and shocking picture of the general standards of courtesy”, as stated in the Dehari family complaint. Any impartial analysis would prove that images transmitted to the shorter version of the critical period, as well as the longer one hour when Astrit Dehari was left alone in the QPP cell, do not contain the offensive and denigrating” of the detainees, but are images that without prejudice give the basic information of no one moving in the corridor during the time the prisoners walk out, as well as the images of the Astri Dechart has happened in a cell that has been found in a serious condition, and then, in short sequence, seen as being released from the emergency cell and hospital.
4. The incidents broadcast in the debate area cannot be called material that “tries to deceive the public and directly influence and prevent an independent and neutral investigation into this case”. These claims of complaint are quite speculating, because they prejudge that the recordings are manipulated, which can only be proven by expert expertise. The investigator owns the original recording of the QPP, and only that can issue judgment if the broadcast recording was manipulated. And if that formal investigative initiative is not believed, then it would have to be clarified by a neutral superester, for whom the demands have been raised, but that the family and the Vetevendosje Movement have rejected the proposal having super-investigated British Scotland Yard.
5. With the broadcast of the recordings we have not wanted to prevent the independent investigation, rather we wanted to contribute positively to the investigation process due to the great speculation and politicisation of the case. We are aware that with the transmission of the recordings, we have given only one objective element of the case that brings us to the truth, but the investigator also has material possessions and other evidence of complete clarification of the truth, whether of suicide or murder, such as. Astrit Dehar's diary, whose parts are also published in Kosovo media.
Recapitulation of arguments against Dehar family complaint
After we concluded:
- The public's interest in searching for the truth and knowing more about the case was extraordinary;
- The situation in the country was so furious that the cause of social unrest was threatened, especially because of the involving of parties and specific exhibits that have a direct bearing on measures;
- The video as such did not affect the person's privacy;
- The main person of the event was not a minor but a public person;
- Material was not done by illegal means and procedures and incompatible with professional ethics during resource security;
- After professional examination the material resulted in authentic and unmanipulated.
- The video was not available, it touched on the honor of Astrit Dehar or anyone else within the video minutes.
The whole scene where the deceased is seen carrying on to the hospital did not visualize him in a position he might consider directed against him or anyone else.
The Kosovo TV broadcast decision was made after not only a review of the International Code of Journalists, and especially of Swiss, German and Austrian codices, but also of their media and freedom laws to report on a sensitive and very interesting event for the public, which we have done by respecting all possible norms.
Our audience, the public, and the society were right before all others to be informed about the dramatic case that happened and that questioned not only the prison in question but the system itself, the state.
TV leader Klan Kosovo considers that it has adhered to all professional and ethical, legal and human standards, from obtaining source to video broadcasting. That video had to be published in the atmosphere and such conditions can bring hundreds of history cases that are on our side.
With great sorrow for the tragic extinction of Astrit Dehar, we hope in the understanding of the Dehari family!

TV director Klan Kosova
