In the 10 Serb majority municipalities, in Kosovo's parliamentary elections, it has won the Serb List. At the country level, the elections, according to preliminary results, won the Vetevendosje Movement. However, in a Serbian-language interview, Albin Kurti says he does not want Serbian winners in his government.
In an interview for N1 in Serbia, the candidate for prime minister from LVV, has said he would immediately start talks with Serbs to get to Government, but does not want the main winner of the Serbian vote in Kosovo, which is List Srpska, broadcast newspaper Express.
Asked whether he will form a government with the Serbian List, Kurti has said he will include Serbian political parties except the Serbian List in the coalition, clarifying that, according to him, the Serbian List is not a political party but a state.
Our constitution says it should be at least one minister from the Serb community in our government, but does not say it should be from the Serbian List. So we will focus our priorities on minorities like communities, not as parties”, says Kurti.
LVVA chief has also talked about dialogue with Serbia, saying that once the Government is established, the government will go to Brussels to start talks with the new EU representative appointed for mediation between Kosovo and Serbia.
There can't be a failure in this dialogue again because it costs too much. We will also look at those 33 agreements we have had from 2011-2017, what was fulfilled and what was not and what are the effects on the lives of the people of Kosovo, and one day we will start a dialogue with Serbia, which should be principled”, says Kurti.
