An Albanian has been in handcuffs in Britain as he carried fake Slovenian documents.
According to what he said in court, the Albanian arrested believed the documents he had been original.
But only after his arrest after a public order incident, in Darlington, on August 6, did Nerim Isati learn that his ID cards and permission of direction were false.
Asked by Judge Christopher Prince if he believed they were original documents, the translator spoke to the defendant and told the court: until the moment he was arrested he believed the documents were appropriate and he found them false after being arrested”.
Judge Prince postponed the hearing for three weeks to enable defence lawyers to have a full discussion in prison with Isat.
