Thaci is confusing “correction” with “exchange” foreign media

In an interview for Austria News Agency „APA“, I have talked about political developments in Kosovo and the region. Speaking of the latest phase of dialogue on normalising relations between Kosovo and Serbia, I have stressed that an agreement between us would create more stability and peace in the region. For Kosovo and Serbia this will enable EU membership, as long as Kosovo is also in NATO. There will be no monoethnic boundaries, and both states will be multiethnic. Reaching a legally binding agreement means that there will never again be war between the two states. Citizens will have a better life, because living the agreement will also improve the economic situation and create more jobs, until borders are removed, based on the European model. The prospect of reaching such an agreement has never been better, because we have the support of the EU and the US. Youth is that Russia will also be able to accept the deal, if both sides agree. Therefore, it is important to use this moment to reach a balanced agreement that takes into account the interests of the two countries. There was no such willingness in the past. If we don't take this chance, then our citizens will curse us for decades to come. This agreement has to do not only with correcting borders but also with other aspects. This agreement will be comprehensive, which deals with other issues, such as the issue of missing persons from the last war, who have not returned to their homeland. The agreement aims to permanently resolve problems and not be a temporary solution, which we then need to return to. No “Large Albania”, as neither “Instead, we aim to integrate the region into united Europe. I have also spoken in this interview about the Kosovo Army. It was a proper decision of a sovereign state, based on the will of the people of Kosovo. HT
