Supplicating for the Union of Mitrovica ends, Bahtiri shocks with what he says

The petition initiated by Mitrovica municipality chairman Agim Bahtiri for the union of Mitrovica ended on Sunday evening.

He confirmed this on Indesksonline itself Mayor Bahtiri, who said that over 10,000 signatures were collected.

But as for this petition, analyst Imer Mushkolaj says Bahtiri is playing the popular card.

In a proposal for Indexline, he has said Mitrovica cannot join petitions and that it can only happen if Serbia is given the rest of the north.

Agim Bahtiri is playing with the population card. Mitrovica cannot join petitions. Mitrovica may be a city, a municipality, but only if Serbia is given the other part of the north, Zvecani, Zubin Potoku and Leposaviqi, respectively. This looks like it's gonna happen, Mushkolaj said.

Otherwise, this initiative has not found the support of institutional leaders, even Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has named it a game.
