Liverpool's star, Gerdan Shaqiri, has discovered that he had made the decision to move to Liverpool as soon as he heard that Klopp wanted to buy it during the passing summer deadline.
The Kosovo Swiss passport managed to secure a transfer to Liverpool from Stoke City during the summer, after its former club fell from Premierliga to Champsip, the second football level in England. Shaqiri had been the best scorer in the Stoke City team with eight goals.
Initially, it was questioned whether Shaqiri had the ability and ethics of work required to play for a coach like Jurgen Klopp. However, in an interview after one of this season's matches, Klopp had said that Shaqiri has exceeded his expectations.
I was so happy to be coming to this club. I had good times and a bad year with Stoke Coty, where I was disappointed that we got into Champsip. I know the league very well, and I was so happy to play for such a big club”, Shaqiri said.
A few years ago, I was near the transfer to Liverpool, when the coach was Brendan Rodgers. He called me, it was before the 2014 World Cup, and I wanted this transfer. I'm sick that Baiern Munichu said no and I was forced to stay.
It was a very good thing to hear from my brother that Liverpool was looking for me again. Of course, I was very happy to hear about this concern. I told my brother: Don't take offers from any other club because I want to work with Jurgen Kuppin. And finally, this thing happened”.
The 27-year-old testified to himself from the first match for his new club, when he scored a goal in the redeeming style in the match against Manchester United in July. Just a few days before he scored that goal, Shaqiri had announced that he felt that with Liverpool he could gain everything in the world.
While he had not been activated in all of Liverpool's matches this season, his statistics testify that when Shaqiri plays with “the big “starring”, Mohammed Salah, Sadio Manen and Roberto Firminon, no one can stop Kloppi boys.
This four is combined into eight matches of this season, and Liverpool has won them all. Not only has the English club won 24 points with these players, 22 goals were scored during these matches.
Starting in the victory against Fulham on November 11th, the Swiss was entitled to five consecutive matches with this formation. All these matches were won by Liverpool, but then Shaqiri was on the bench for the match against Manchester United.
In the 70th minute, when the match was yet 1-1st, Shaqiri joined the game and scored two goals to ensure victory and first place on the Friday table of Jurgen Kloppi's team.
