Even after Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj's statement that they will try to meet the demands of the United Education Union, the latter warn they will not give up the previous strike on January 14th.
This, they say, will take place until 30 percent of all cofficients in education are raised from nests to universities.
In an interview for RTV21, the chairman of the United Education Union, Nundman Jasharaj, has said the strike will begin on January 14th.
“We trust Prime Minister Haradinaj but not only his commitment is enough, as all institutions must be engaged. The Steering Council yesterday made the course of the strike, and it is envisioned that in all educational institutions, at the nursery, elementary, middle and university education, strikes start every day at 9 and close at 12”, Jasharaj said.
He has said that this decision was taken after a several-month wait after the debates, which, according to him, proved unsuccessful.
Jasharaj has added that the U.S.K.'s request is that all coefficants, primary and university education centres, especially at the university administration, be established for 30 %s.
The Council of Parents of Students has opposed the strike warned in education with the reasoning that teachers are having students on strike.
