The Democratic League of Kosovo, which the past mandate has been in coalition with Kadri Wessel's PDK, has reacted to its statement, which said that for only one year with the Haradinaj Government, it has been more than three years with the government, Mustafa, in economic terms.
According to the LDK, Wessel has made it clear once again that he doesn't know anything about the economy. To better understand the left and right in economic terms, the LDK has said it is ready to offer PDK leader, basic books.
In response, he cites the performance of economic dictatorships led by LDK ministers.
Read full the LDK reaction:
The chairman of the Republic of Kosovo's Parliament, Mr. Kadri Wessel has said the LDK is part of leftist parties, only calls itself right. Just a few minutes, Mr. President. Wessel also attempts to adopt economic reforms based on the principles of free market economy implemented during the Mustafa government in 2014-2017.
Mr. Wessel has made it clear, for many times now, that he does not understand anything from the economy in general, much less from the market economy in particular. During the Mustafa government, through the Ministry of Finance led by Mr. Avdullah Hoti, a series of fiscal reforms were implemented, which were called “Pakko Fiscal 1.0x1> and “Pakko Fiscal 2.0”, starting on September 1, 2015, which escalated the Standard Value Tax by halving TVs for essential products and services, the total removal of the VAT in import of all manufacturing machines, pre-uses used in production and intelligence technology, the creation of legal space for new investments, etc.
At the same time, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, under Mrs. Hykmete Bajrami, in co-operation with the World Bank, had begun reforming over 30 inspection troops in Kosovo, costing Kosovo companies over 140m euros in unreasonable costs annually. At the same time, MTI in co-operation with U AID, KfW and AIDS had established the Kosovar Fund for Cremday Guarantee to guarantee 50% of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises' loans. Also, during the Government Mustafa for the first time, the Agency for European Reform (ERA) and the Programme for Economic Reform (ERP) have been drafted and implemented by the Government of Kosovo for the first time, a series of economic, legislative and administrative reforms aimed at unblocking the potential of economic development, above all private sector, removing as many tax and administrative barriers weighing on Kosovo companies, especially the producers.
We want to remind Mr. President. Wessel that LDK is a member of the European People's Party (EPP), the family of the centre-right European parties.
Mr. Wessel is well to work for the country's economic development and not attempt to adopt economic reforms to benefit Kosovo companies that have led and implemented the Democratic League of Kosovo.
As a generous party we are, we express readiness to supply Mr. Wessel with books on the basis of the economy so that, at least, it will not confuse the right economic concepts, embedded in the LDK programme, from the left economic concepts adopted by the ruling partners of Mr. Wessel.
