About a month after the Kosovo Assembly adopted laws Kosovo Security Force has given military mandate, NATO has not yet decided what relations it will have with the KSF.
The North-Atlantic alliance, which has been declared against the Kosovo Army at this time, has told Kohavision that NATO must review its level of engagement with KSF, KTV reports.
But, in the Ministry of Defence, they are convinced that NATO will not reduce its level of engagement in Kosovo. It says that if this level does not rise, at least it will remain the same as it is now.
NATO has told him KTV that the transition of KSF to the military is contrary to the advice of many NATO allies and that there may be serious consequences for Kosovo's integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.
However, for KSF Deputy Minister Burim Ramadanin, this declaration poses no threat to Kosovo's future.
The specific road, for Ramadan, means avoiding veto by NATO member states that do not recognise Kosovo's citizenship.
On the other side, NATO has reiterated that KFOR will continue the mission to secure a secure environment in Kosovo.
