Today the Inspectorate has been on the ground on several selling points to see the flags set up, and has also asked businesses to make the flags up soon.
MTI Chief Inspector Lulzim Syla has asked businesses to respect the Administrative Guide signed by Minister Shala and as soon as they make the deployment of the flags.
Syla along with market inspectors today has visited several shopping points in the Pristina region, which has talked with managers of these markets, suggesting that monitoring will continue.
“Today we have visited several brands across the city of Pristina and asked them to respect the Administrative Guide that was signed by Minister Shala in December last year. On the basis of the situation on the ground, the setting of flags started on most of the markets, we advised them that the law should be respected so as not to be forced to fine”, Syla said.
The Chief Inspector has made it known that the idea is not for businesses to be fined, but it becomes known that instructions that have entered into force should be respected.
“Inspectorate is doing its job, and we're showing the sales points how long before they have to finish putting up flags. These days we've been on the ground, but the next few days, we're planning an inspection of the markets. I'm asking all economic operators to make the flag in products they sell, so consumers know what they're buying, whatever that product is, they have to set the origin flag because the law has to be respected”, Syla said.
