Kosovo's paid man's salary lowered

Pension Savings Fund (Trusti) Managing Director Adrian Zalli from January 1st, 2019 is not the most paid man in Kosovo.

Zalli has received monthly wages of about 5,000 euros.

But to reduce Zallli's salary, the Parliamentary Commission for Boards and Finance was under way.

The chairman of this commission, Lumir Abdixhiku, had announced that Trust Management salaries eventually level with those of the Kosovo Central Bank (BQK).

“Sic I have warned you earlier, following the Commission's initiative to lead, the wages of the RRUST management are finally ) after 10 years of debate levelled with the BQC. Today I accepted the report of the Trust Board confirming this change and reduction. I'm happy about that. We have consistently considered that wages of 6,000 euros were non-compliance with institutional order in the country and with the economic level in Kosovo”, Obadiah wrote on his Facebook account.

Kosovo Pension Savings Fund spokesman Jeton Demi, in an interview for the “Ekonomi” in Telegrafi, has said that wage harmonisation will be made in this institution.

Demi has indicated that the Trust management director's salary will not be bigger than the governor of the Kosovo Central Bank.

“should consider the institution's specifics. The Pension Fund is the only public institution that is on international markets and as such has not been penalised for the specifics it has. So as such, it cannot be compared to other public institutions, because there are similarities and comparisons should be with similar sectors. After all, this is historical, so since the institution was founded and the decision that came from an international board is neither Mr. Zalli nor his subordinate has been defined on the side of their compensation. This question of wage and income treatment is an issue that is annual performance as they are connecting between themselves but they don't have it in common. The issue in 2018 was addressed by the Commission for Finance, which has demanded that there be some kind of harmonisation of the wages of the Kosovo Central Bank's Pension and Salaries, and that has happened, and by January 2019 there will be some kind of harmonisation of them according to the hierarchy. As far as I have information Mr. Zalli's salary will not be greater than Governor”, said Trust spokesman Jeton Demi.

According to Anti-Corruption Agency data on the property declaration for 2018, Zally has Declared: that within a year it gets 58,963 euros per year or 4,913.58 euros per month.

Also, Demi in the interview has talked about performance of investment pension savings tools, as well as the losses that followed the Fund's means during 2018.
