The constitutional law expert and former head of the Constitutional Court, Trendafil Ivanovski, says that with yesterday's vote in the Parliament, constitutional changes come into force.
With yesterday's announcement of constitutional amendments 33, 34, 35 and 36, in fact, they are already in effect. According to Article 131 of the Constitution, with the declaration of the amendments, respectively, they come into force. Just as the Constitution itself with the act of voting comes into force”- said Trendavil Ivanovski, constitutional law expert.
The ratification of the Prespa Agreement in the Greek Parliament now follows, a process for which Ivanovski believes it will take place successfully. On the contrary, everything returns as it has been, as is predicted by constitutional law.
“This means that the agreement has not been adopted, which means that neither constitutional amendments have been adopted, or constitutional amendments have been adopted, because they were all in the function of the 33th amendment, and it was about changing the name of state”- stated Trendavil Ivanovski, a constitutional law expert.
Prime Minister Zaev announced that yesterday Parliament adopted a decision to declare amendments and the declaration of constitutional law and that those today released in the Official Journal.
