Up to 30 per cent more sales have been made by Kosovo producers, two months after taxing 100 per cent on Serbian and Bosnian goods, KTV reports.
Kosovo businesses say this government decision has greatly helped them.
They say the tax has also influenced the awareness of citizens to buy local products.
Customs statistics also show that there is increased export of Kosovo producers to other countries.
After the safeguard clause, even imports from Albania and Macedonia have marked raises.
According to customs officials, 57m euros more have been imported compared to the same period a year ago.
Until, food products worth 15m euros have been imported from Macedonia.
