Today, World Holocaust Day is also marked in Kosovo

And the afternoon will be a memorial march for Roma Holocaust victims.
March will be held at 16:30, from square “Zahir Pajaziti” Pristina, to continue at the Kosovo National Theatre with a public speech and then an artistic performance near the above-mentioned institution.
And last night, at the House of Culture “James Berisha” in Prizren, the premiere of monodramas “02.08.1944”, by Edis Galushi, appears.
This monodrama addresses the subject of Roma victimism during World War II at the Auschwitz concentration camp.
Only this camp is said to have detained nearly 23 thousand Roma. The night of August 2, 1944, was known as the “final resolution” for Roma in Auschwitz. That night a total of 2,989, Roma, have been exhumed in the gas room.
Through personal confession of the character of the show, there is the terrible treatment of Roma before and during World War II.
