More and more young Albanians are abandoning the country and heading towards EU countries.
One of the countries that has voiced concern for the high presence of the number of Albanians is the Netherlands. Recently, the chairman of the Mordijk municipality in the Netherlands has called for co-operation with the authority of the Rotterdam municipality to cope with the situation created by the Albanian illegal movement.
Mayor Jacques Klies reportedly is in talks with representatives of the Rotterdam municipality to address problems created by the Albanian smuggling movement.
He wants the port city to pay the surveillance camera bill at Strepland Park in Zevenbergschen Hoek. Additional inspections must also be conducted at the port of Rotterdam. Clyce made these statements today during a meeting he had with Justice and Security Secretary Mark Harbers in the Mordijk municipality.
According to Klyce, trucks that spend the night in the park must be searched. He added that there seems to be additional controls for truck drivers, who allegedly help Albanian immigrants enter England illegally.
“Drivers cannot just look at the direction of the truck, but we must prevent them from taking Albanians and sending them to England,” said the mayor.
Secretary of State Mark Harbers went to Mordijk to look closely at the situation created in Zevenbergschen Hoek, Dutch media report.
The situation is miserable, migration works only if it is legally made”, he said.
He also became acquainted with local complaints. He promised there would be co-operation with international structures and warned Albanians that they would have no chance to cross from Mordijk to England.
“The possibility of getting caught is getting bigger and the moment an Albanian is caught being deported to Albania and the right to enter the EU” will be prohibited, Harbers said
