Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has hosted representatives of the United Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture, led by Beftman Jashar, at the meeting today.

According to the communiqué sent by the prime minister's office during the meeting, Haradinaj has heard representatives of this union of their concerns, related specifically to the Bill on Salaries.

The growth of the budget in education is one of the many steps we like Government have taken to improve the situation in this sector. In addition, hard work has been done with the Law of Pays, formalising the salaries of teachers so far, was based on decisions and in addition to the riskary”, Prime Minister Haradinaj said, citing the need for this law to pass through the Kosovo Assembly as soon as possible and then pave the way for making the necessary improvements in the future, but at the same time said it would engage in the parliamentary Commission as necessary improvements.

Prime Minister Haradinaj has added that the current government is giving priority to education by making reforms that will raise the quality for better education in the country.

With the increase of the education budget to 12 percent than last year, we are testifying that we are for well-deserved quality and education and that everyone's concerns already have address”, the prime minister stressed.

For their part, representatives of the United Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture have thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for waiting at the meeting and his commitment to hear their recent complaints concerning the new Law on Salaries.
