European Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn has said today he is expecting an answer from Pristina for his request about the removal of the tax on products originating from Serbia.
“I hope to receive an answer from Kosovo these days about tax”, Hahn said before reporters, writes tanug.
Before journalists, Hahn has reiterated his offer for a separate form of negotiations between Pristina and Belgrade on the tax issue.
Hahn for the tax problem had visited Kosovo on December 3rd, from which he had requested tax removal.
The request for tax removal has been repeated yesterday, as has EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, after meeting with the Kosovo delegation led by Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti.
She has said she has reiterated the Kosovo side once again the urgent need to lift the tax decision that Haradinaj Government has taken last year.
However, the Kosovo government seems determined that the tax decision will remain. Like Fatmir Limaj, Ramush Haradinaj has stated yesterday that Kosovo is willing to remove the tax immediately if Serbia recognises the independence of the Republic of Kosovo.
