Former Chelek Commander in the Kosovo Liberation Army says he is convinced that even from this process he will be released as clean as the KLA has been.
While the Special Court has only started working with issuing invitations to some in Kosovo, Fatmir Limaj says he should not be surprised at the actions of this court now.
In an interview for Kosovo Press, Limaj recalls that the Special Court has been voted in the Kosovo Assembly, so the responsibility remains with voters.
I wonder if anyone is surprised by the actions of the Special Court, when they've voted they've voted for this job. Those who have voted take responsibility for her own vote, I have given my opinion at the right time, which is unfair forms and ways, but now we are ahead of that, the Kosovo Parliament has voted. I appeal to all the people whom the Special Court invites to answer, has to respond to the law. So he contributes, respects his country and the law, and fulfills his civic duty. Can't individual luck be an obstacle to the country's development -- no one dares, to equate its individual destiny with the fate of the Republic of Kosovo. The reasons why it's form and how, you should have talked to him in 2015, not now. Now it is the duty of every citizen of this country to respond to justice, point”, he says.
Limaj, against whom many charges had been filed long ago, and spent much of his life in the courts, says he is sure that even from the Special Court process, he will be brought out just as the Kosovo Liberation Army was.
I am sure that even from this process it will be achieved as was the Kosovo Liberation Ustra, and what it takes now is for this battle to take place in the judicial battle, within the justice process as it is envisioned by the Special Court”, he says.
We remember last month, former fighter The KLA, Sami Lushtaku, has accepted an invitation since 14 January 2019 presented to the Kosovo Specialised Prosecutor's Office in The Hague.
In addition, official invitation from the Special Court has also received Rrustem Mustafa, Sokol Dobruna and Nazim Mehmeti and several others.
In August 2015, Kosovo Assembly deputies told the Special Court.
With 82 votes for, 5 against and 1 abstention, they voted for constitutional changes that paved the way for the establishment of this court, which was demanded by the international community.
