The famous Eric Roberts in Blerim Dzit's film

Just four hours after reading the scenario, the Roberts family has invited Kosovo director Blerim Dzi to further detail the performance on this film. The famous Eric Roberts, although he hasn't played short films in his shorts, has been so tempted by the Joci scenario that he has agreed to be part of the film “The Fusion”.

Blerim Joci, in an interview for KultPlus, has also told of the grand premiere of this film, which is expected to be presented at one of the largest festivals.

KultPlus: You've started shooting a movie in the U.S., what is this movie, and what stuff?

Brian Johnson: The movie we are filming is adoption for short film to be shown as an example for the long movie to follow. The film belongs to the sonar of science fiction but rooted in philosophical thinking about life and human origin. Normally, this film will appear in front of investors and festivals that prefer this pan.

KultPlus: Where did you get your shoots, and what place are you shooting at?

Brian Johnson: We just finished shootings in Los Angeles and the district.

KultPlus: In the movie, with a leading role you hired the famous actor Eric Roberts, how did you get into cooperation?

Brian Johnson: A real coincidence. We were holding auditions with the cast director, and I saw a lot of popular names on the keyboard list. I asked him how he managed to bring these names to the audition. She answered that she had sent the script to the agents and received a lot of compliments on the scenario and that it was the scenario that attracted these names. That's what the actors who were coming to the audition said they loved the script! In the meantime, she received a phone call and then told me that she had just talked to Eric Roberts and that she knew him. I immediately asked him to send him the script and offer him the lead role of Eric Utt, since everyone was really enjoying the script. She hesitated and said Eric didn't want to play in short films, helped some friends before, but didn't do it with unknown authors. I insisted that Elise's scenario be sent, and she finally sent her a text and asked her permission to send her a script, because the director was insisting. We got her permission and sent her the script. Four hours later I get a call from the cast director that Eliza Roberts wanted to talk to me. He called me on the phone, commended me for the scenario, said that he had enjoyed it very much, and invited me to their home for a meeting. That's what happened.

KultPlus: What's it like working with Eric?

Brian Johnson: Oh great, really. Except as an actor who gives you exactly what you want as a director, and as a man, he keeps the whole team smiling at his jokes and his mood during 12 hours of shooting. He never releases the movie square like the actors do when there's a little pause, until there's a camera and lights re-enacted, he's there, and every time I looked around, I had my head and I had it back and he answered “Then, even when the lights are finalised, it did not intend to stay in its position, often half an hour until we found accurate lighting with the head of the photograph. Eric was the most pleasant surprise of this footage. He never alone manifested the star complex, on the contrary.

KultPlus: What producers are you cooperating with and how promising are they to travel the movie?

Brian Johnson: I have three producers in this movie, Angela Martini, Ian McCLellan and Sharon Park. It's this very dynamic production team and we've really had a great time. I believe that their commitment will intensify even more, after the post-production, because at least the film is the producer in this case, because the producers are investors.

KultPlus: When does the movie premiere come?

Brian Johnson: The premiere we strongly believe will be in May, at one of the major festivals.

KultPlus: And for the end, you are in preparation for the start of film shooting in Kosovo, rather when will you begin?

Brian Johnson: For the film in Kosovo, we have been almost ready, but financially we have not been completed. We are currently looking at the possibility of co-operation between private investors and eliminating possible consequences. You know my film is about Pristina and the massive deportation of the population from the capital, and about the history of the city's hidden survivors. This scenario requires more investment, because it's not a drama where characters sit and talk, it's full of action and temptation. Material requirements for him are more specific and larger. From the QKK we have received a sum that meets only 15% of the amount required. This budget is too insufficient for any eventual initiative. I'm going to play a very famous American actress in this movie, and I'm hoping that by her name she'll probably bring in American investments. But exactly 2019 will be the year Sonny Hill takes the final route.
