Will we have an earthquake by the Special Court in 2019?

The year 2019 is expected to be the Special Court's. At the end of 2018, the Special Court began its work with sending invitations to former KLA members allegedly committed crimes during the recent war in Kosovo.

So far, precisely how many invitations have been submitted from this court have not been made public.

Rrustem Mustafa, former commander of the Llap Operative Zone, Sami Lushtaku, former commander of the Drenica Operative Zone, Nazif Mehmeti, former captain of the Lap Operative Zone, Sokol Dobruna, former head of the Military Court, Safet Syla, former member of The KLA and the former KLA member Remzi Shala are some of the names that have confirmed the Special's invitation.

After receiving the invitation, Remzi Shala had declared that she would not respond to the call and left Kosovo. For Shala, they don't know where even the Kosovo authorities are, writes news.net.

Regarding the case in question, Special Prosecutor Silas Hoxha had told the news.net that the Special Court has not yet sent you an invitation for co-operation, but that the moment calling Kosovo authorities will answer.

The above-mentioned defence lawyers have stated that it has not become clear in what quality they, witnesses or accused, are invited to. Some of them have already been interviewed.

Names of high state personalities that will be invited by this court have been repeatedly mentioned in the media. Various politicians and analysts have stated that if this happens then the Kosovo political scene will be destabilized. However, this remains to be understood during 2019.

That everyone should respond to special call has the country's president, Hashim Thaci, said.

Thaci has said that Kosovo fighters went through successive judicial systems to prove the truth and justice. According to him, every former freedom fighter should respond with correctness before the Special Court.

The invitation is not a kiamet. So said Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

While, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri said days ago that those previously tried will not be called back by the Special.

He has stressed that all those invited so far for evidence by the Special Court have shown high responsibility.

The Special Court was established in 2015 after Kosovo signed an agreement with the European Union pledging to implement the legal state. After the deal was approved by the Parliament, it turned into law.
