The Kosovo negotiating team is expected to stay in Brussels on Tuesday to meet with senior EU representative Federica Moghrini.
Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has confirmed this during a news conference.
Hoxhaj has said that more intensive meetings for continuing dialogue are expected in the coming months, Telegrafi reports.
Those comments Hoxhaj made after a meeting with his counterpart from Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.
“We talked about some major issues and informed about the dynamics of Kosovo- Serbia, where in February, March, April we expect an intense agenda of meetings in Brussels maybe next week we will have a meeting, what happens to Kosovo- Serbia concerns these two countries, but also the” region, Hoxhaj has said.
The visit to Brussels had also been discussed yesterday by the co-chairman of the dialogue, Shpend Ahmeti.
Ahmeti has also warned that very soon the negotiating team will send him to the Assembly, the platform of talks with Serbia.
He has voiced confidence that the platform will be ready before January 30th, when the spring session in the Assembly is expected to begin.
I believe that before January 30th we will be able to hand over the platform of dialogue. That platform is based on the Kosovo Constitution. This dialogue has a goal to wrap up the process between Kosovo and Serbia. If there is no recognition, then, for us this dialogue does not even make sense, nor does it deserve to waste time because it is clear that Kosovo is involved in certain wave of compromises”, Ahmeti said, Telegrafi reported.
Ahmeti has also indicated that the dialogue team has established six commissions under his mandate, which he received from the Parliament.
He has announced that the established commissions are: for the missing, for the property, for the cult heritage, for minority rights, for war crimes commission and for the economy.
However, he has expressed uncertainty about reaching a final agreement.
