The Austrian newspaper Der Standard in a follow-up scripture dedicated to Kosovo and Western Balkan countries writes that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and Serbia's Aleksandar Vuciq, are in favour of changing borders.
In writing titled “, Albanian Prime Minister warns Greater Albania, the paper writes that Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has ordered that the EU should reject “any re-establishing of Kosovo's current borders, partitioning Kosovo or exchange of territory”.
The exchange of territory will ensure that northern Kosovo is provided in Serbia and the Presevo Valley of Kosovo. By 2018, such an exchange had always been excluded from the EU. But since last year, EU Foreign Policy representative Federica Moghrini and EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn have undergone a change in this direction. Now they are supporting such an exchange of territory, which is contrary to the constitution of Kosovo”, the paper writes.
Der Standard writes that Prime Minister Edi Rama has removed Albanian Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati from the government because of his opposition to exchange of territories.
“For this, Rama has wanted to appoint a 26-year-old Kosovo member Gent Cakaj, whose appointment was prevented by President Ilir Meta. Officially now Rama has named himself to the post of foreign minister, but all competencies have delegated to his deputy.”, the paper writes.
Southeast European expert Florian Bieber from the University of Graz says the replacement of Bushat was sudden and strange, as it was respected by internationals who saw it as an antipod to balance Rama's inadequate explosive nature, Kosovo Press broadcast.
“However, some diplomats say the exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia seems an inevitable outcome, although opposed by most parties and civil society in Kosovo”, Der Standard writes away.
Quoting Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, the paper writes that Trump's key man is working on partitioning Kosovo.
“According to former Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic, the frontrunner of Donald Trump's election campaign, Corey Lewandoski, is the lobbyist campaigning for the partition of Kosovo. At Leandowski's address in Washington, the firm Tekin Rocks Global has registered, which has a contract with the Serbian-nationalist party, SNSD, which has been targeting the division, and with this case Bosnia and Herzegovina's destruction”, the Austrian newspaper finally writes.
