President Donald Trump's adviser for national security, John Bolton, said on Sunday that the withdrawal of 2 thousand American troops in Syria would not be hasty and conditioned by Turkish guarantees that it would not target Kurdish fighters who are allies of American forces.
Bolton, during a visit to Israel for talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said there is no deadline for troop withdrawal, but that on the other hand the American presence in Syria is not unlimited. Bolton's comments were the first public confirmation that the healing process has slowed since the first signals were to take place within 30 days.
Adviser Bolton said Trump “do since I's potassium The SIS destroyed”, referring to the Islamic State that it had in the past considered Raqqa in northern Syria, the capital of its religious territory in Syria and Iraq.
National Security Adviser said the <x0fferate depends on the policy discussions we have to implement”.
On December 19th, President Trump ignored the suggestions of national security officials and surprised allies when he declared he was withdrawing American troops from Syria, where they have carried out air strikes and against Islamic State and Syrian positions and served as councils of Kurdish fighters. His announcement sparked numerous objections, including from republican lawmakers. Defence Secretary Jim Mattis resigned in protest. / VOA
