World Bank over 60m euros for agricultural and rural development projects

The World Bank will continue supporting projects for agriculture and development in Kosovo with a fund of over 60m euros. This support has been disclosed during the meeting that Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Nenad Ricalo had with representatives of the World Bank Group (BB), with which he discussed the upcoming Agriculture and Rural Development Project.
During this meeting, Minister Rikalo and BB officials discussed phases of preparing the new project, which have already begun, and in this case they have shown that support under this project will be based on three main pillars: Watering agricultural land, pollution agricultural land, as well as investments in environmental agriculture. Also stressed, this project will be realised in co-operation with the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.
Minister Rikalo thanked the World Bank for the continued support for the agriculture sector, praising it that this support has produced very concrete and important results. In this case, he has announced them to the Agriculture and Rural Development Programme 2019, as well as other development projects of the ministry for development of the agriculture sector in the country.
On the other hand, World Bank officials expressed readiness to continue supporting the agriculture sector, praising the achievements in this sector that is providing one of the best employment and economic development opportunities.
