Bahtiri repeats the popular refrain: Mitrovica to Join

South Mitrovica Mayor Agim Bahtiri has assured the citizens of this city and all of Kosovo that Mitrovica will join. Bahtiri at a media conference Monday has said the Kosovo Assembly will vote on changing the Law on Administration Borders of the Communists, with the aim of uniting the town of Mitrovica, writes the newspaper “Zri”.

He has further indicated that for seven days as long as the signing of the petition for the union of Mitrovica has lasted, over 16 thousand citizens <x0/Petition have signed even northern citizens, Serbian citizens, have been tired of parallel structures in the north. I am fully convinced that Serbian citizens of the northern part are tired of the people, of certain groups, which have indeed been closely involved in the work of these families. They immediately expect to be released forever and institutional work to begin providing services to all citizens indiscriminately”, Bahtiri has declared.

He added that the Mitrovica municipality has not made a decision to unify the city, but has rightly made the requirement for unity. The signing of citizens within the week is sent to the Kosovo Assembly, Government and President, with the requirement for changing the Law on Administration Borders of the Communists in order to unify the town”, Bahtiri has indicated.

He has further expressed confidence that Mitrovica will join. I assure you that the city of Mitrovica will join. The South Mitrovica municipality in co-operation with its citizens, in order to improve the quality of life of all citizens in both municipalities and with the aim of co-operation, economic development and community approach, regardless of their ethnic affiliation, requires concrete actions to unify the city”, Bahtiri, who has flatly denied partitioning Kosovo through the Iber River and the main bridge has called on politicians not to deal with Mitrovica as the possibility of the event division.
