The US is ready to send $20m humanitarian aid to help Venezuela's people, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeii declared today, while urging states not to recognise Nicolas Maduron as president.
The US has recognised the opposition, Juan Guaido, as interim president and many other states, mostly in America, have followed suit.
Even Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has declared today that he recognises the opposition being supported by America as a state of Venezuela.
Pompeo urged Venezuelan security forces to protect Guaido and warned supporters of the regime against attacking opposition protesters.
Pompeo made these statements at the U.S. Organisation headquarters in Washington, asking its members to support Guaido and the democratic and fair transition”. /Periscopi
