Wikipedia replaced Julian Assange as editor-in-chief with Christine Hrafnsson.

I condemn the treatment of Julian Assange that leads to my new role,” said Hrafnsson, as the Daily Dot reported.

“I welcome the opportunity to ensure the continuation of important work based on the ideals of Wikipedia”, the new editor-in-chief of the platform that rocked world governments with classified data published on military operations in the Middle East was quoted as saying.

The organisation was founded and headed for more than a decade by Assange, but the silver-haired Australian who was released for legal protection at the Ecuador Embassy in London since 2012.

Assange had stopped communicating with Ecuador's new president, Lenin Moreno, in March of this year, and there is also debate over whether Ecuador will continue to protect Assange or not. It is required under some criminal acts among them.
