Kosovo Assembly Chairman Kadri Veseline has said today at the Fifth Conference of Ambassadors of the Republic of Kosovo that there is no force that can stop the future of Kosovo's developing state and full integration into the UN, the EU and all other international organisations.
Chief Parliamentary Veselin said in front of diplomats that Kosovo has already entered a phase that requires fair and determined answers to what it is walking into. The head of the Parliament said dialogue with Serbia must be closed, because Kosovo cannot continue to spend all its energy dealing with problems inherited from the bitter past.
Wessel said the conclusion of this dialogue is done precisely in the function of continuing the European agenda and closing international subjectivity as an independent and sovereign state.
“Our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity are non-negotiable principles. Consequent recognition between Kosovo and Serbia is the only possible option for the future. And with that, Kosovo's full-fledged membership in the UN, to continue with NATO membership and the European Union. Any other option is false news, whether of those still having illusions against the state of Kosovo or of those who do not believe in the state of Kosovo. There is no force that can bring back the new reality of Kosovo”, said Chief Prime Minister Wessel.
Speaking of the final phase of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Chief Parliamentary Veselin stressed the need for internal political consensus.
He added that unfortunately it is continuing the spirit of party polarisation on issues that should unite us.
It is clear that this is reflected in your work as Kosovo representatives in the relevant states where you are accredited. But such a fact should not be read as hesitation to continue with your specific assignment and missions in the country's service. You have to continue to be more insistently representing our country in the world”, Chief Prime Minister Wessel said, adding that this is a responsibility not only state but also patriotic at the same time.
Despite these difficulties, Wessel spoke of the achievements and advances our country has marked in all these years, in many segments. As a result of these advances, the head of the Parliament said Kosovo has received a positive assessment of visa liberalisation and, as a result, for a few months our citizens will move freely to EU countries.
