The Council of the European Union's Visa working group on Tuesday and Wednesday will remain in Kosovo to see closely the progress of Kosovo institutions in the rule of law and other issues dealing with visa liberalisation. Minister Grant Hoxha says the materials needed to announce this Group for progress achieved are being prepared.
The tour working group (COËEB), which operates under the Council of the European Union, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, will remain in Kosovo to see closely the work done by Kosovo institutions in terms of reforms, especially about rule of law and other aspects that are related to this process.
Minister of European Integration, Gift Hoxha, has told the newspaper “Voice” that Kosovo has prepared all relevant materials to announce this Group about the jobs that have been done.
On the other hand, MPs from opposition subjects say they hope this Group will prove that Kosovo citizens deserve to move without visas.
While connoisseurs of integration processes say the working Group for Visas is the first filter of decision-making for liberalisation within the Council of Ministers.
Following support from COEEB, the issue of lifting the visa regime for Kosovo passes to the ambassadorial level, known as COREPER, and ultimately requires approval by the ministers of EU member states.
