The meeting has discussed deepening bilateral relations between the two states, advancing Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic agenda, the process of transforming KSF into the Kosovo Army, as well as the final phase of dialogue for the full normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
Thaci has thanked Assistant Secretary Mitchell for his firm US support for the state and the people of Kosovo in all periods, from freedom, statehood and now strengthening the Euro-Atlantic perspective.
“The United States is our eternal ally. We have all the processes designed and finalised together. So we'll never get off this road. We're going to walk together towards new challenges ahead of us”.
Speaking of the latest phase of dialogue, the Kosovo president has stressed that American support in this process is vital, for reaching a final and legally binding agreement.
On the other hand, Mitchell has assured Kosovo's president that the US will continue its overall support for Kosovo.
