According to the SBASK, employees in the education sector from as far as the Universites are disappointed with the government's move, which approved the draft wage bill by ignoring enough the ongoing and controversial demands of the SBASK for merit positions in this education workers' bill.
The government's “This action of the very day the new school year began has made educational workers feel discriminated and degraded and therefore sought by SBASK's leading bodies that start with concrete union actions. So listening to the voice of SBASK membership organises on Saturday, September 8th in front of the Government building, a protest attended by the heads of union associations of elementary, high school and academic units of the University of Kosovo, members of the Steering Council, heads of municipal and university levels and headship, which make up the number of about 1,000 participants in this union”, says the report.
