Haziri has indicated in this case that this is a regular meeting for co-ordination of political positions within the interest of Albanian citizens east of Kosovo, within the process of normalising the Kosovo reports, Serbia.
“We will continue to work on this being a solution with dialogue, acceptable solutions, where the rights of Albanians expressed through the referendum are also internationally recognised. The right to join Kosovo is guaranteed in the principle of reciprocity with the total of Presevo municipalities, Bujanoc and Medvedja”, he has said.
He has said we are determined that these meetings will be even more frequent to build a broader political consensus, as it is the request of Albanians there and simultaneously a concern of Albanian leaders from these municipalities.
Shaip Kamberi, chairman of the Bujanovac municipality, has said today's meeting is regular in Gjilan and is within the requirements of the citizens of eastern Kosovo for involvement in the talks, even this Albanian part and the part on the reciprocity platform.
We support the president's presentation of the possibility that Presevo Valley joins Kosovo. We demand that the territorial integrity of these municipalities be respected as a whole, and at this moment it is very important that the political consensus of political parties in the Republic of Kosovo, which is vital to our stance on the future, Kamberi has said.
He has asked parliament and political parties in Kosovo to support President Hashim Thaci's idea, as it is the request of Albanians expressed in the referendum, and for the fate of Albanians there must be a full political consensus in Pristina.
And Agim Bahtiri, chairman of the Mitrovica municipality, has said that the situation of Albanians in eastern Kosovo is such because of the error not included in the Vienna Agreement in 2010 and in various later processes.
