The media drew images of the moment when presidential candidate Jair Bolsonaro was stabbed in the stomach in the middle of a crowd in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, southeast Brazil.

The 63-year-old was transferred to intensive care after undergoing a procedure for serious internal injuries and is now in stable and out of danger at”.
A 40-year-old suspect, identified by police as Adélio Bispo de Oliveira, has been arrested during the attack, claiming he was not normal mentally.
Oliveira was told he was a member of the leftist party, PSOL, which has been in power from 2007 to 2014.
On his Facebook page, the assailant has recently posted messages criticising Bolsonaron and the support of President Nicolas Maduro's socialist government in Venezuela.
