China's Earthquake Networks Centre announced that a 5.9-magnition earthquake has occurred in the Mociang Haúni region of Yunnan province, broadcasting Anadolu Agency.
The quake has been felt 12 miles [11 km] deep in the earth while no casualties or material damage has been reported.
In the 6.5 earthquake that struck Yunnan province in August 2014, 398 people died.
