They are also warning street protests. All branches of the Kosovo Post have entered the strike in seven regions of the country.

Kosovo Post Union of Workers Chairman Etri Hoti said the strike would not cease until the execution of wages for workers.

According to him, these workers also require a guarantee that there will be no delay in receiving salaries.

“Kosovo Post Workers, my colleagues to date 10 were not given or executed the Kosovo Post wages. The strike's organisation is carried out with the final goal of realising salaries... a guarantee that it will not repeat the same series for each month for Kosovo Post workers, which means the realisation of the universal postal subvention service that means taking over the state public services”, Hoti said.

Hoti has also stated that if their demands are not met they will continue to seek fulfillment through protests.

“The union steps will change, become more severe. This is a strike that starts today and does not end until the demands are met, forms and manner of protest will change in the future unless our” demands are realised, Hoti said.

According to him, the Kosovo government has not reflected on their demand for universal postal service, although such a promise had been taken long ago by Economic Development Minister Valdrin Luka.

One of the Post Workers Albulen Pacharada is concerned about not receiving her salary, saying it is negatively affecting their families.

She adds that because of not meeting their demands by the Government, they are forced to stop their services to consumers.

I'm sorry about the customers we're not able to perform because our demands haven't met the government yet. But we will go on strike until our demands are met. It's negatively affecting, normal that I don't get up to the 10 salaries negatively affect our families”, Pacharada said.

Kosovo Post workers have held a strike even during July of this year because of not receiving their pay, and do not meet their demands.
