Obessity is expected to pass smoking as one of the leading causes of female cancer by 2043. The forecast is made by a cancer research center in Great Britain, where currently 12 percent of women's cancer cases are linked to smoking and 7 percent to overweight or obesity.
But with the number of smokers dropping and the rate of obesity on the rise, researchers estimate that the gap between these two causers will disappear in the 25 - year arch. And the figure is estimated on the belief that the actual trend will continue.
According to the study, up to 2035, 10 percent of women's censorship cases will be linked to smoking and 9 percent to excessive weight and 2043, if the trend continues, overweight and obesity will be linked to more cases of cancer in women compared with tobacco.
While obesity is common among males, females are thought to be a more likely cause of cancer. According to experts, however, war must continue on both fronts, both against smoking and obesity.
