In northern Mitrovica, preparations have begun for the arrival of Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, in the Republic of Kosovo.
The entire northern part of the city of Mitrovica is filled with flags from Serbia and with billboards with inscriptions “Welcome, President”.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, today begins his two-day visit to the Republic of Kosovo. He will first go to Zubin Potok, while his visit is expected to wrap up with a speech in the square called Shumadijaı in northern Mitrovica on Sunday.
Vuciq's visit to Kosovo comes after a failed meeting in Brussels with Thaci and a widely discussed stop for the Serbian president to visit Weyman Lake.
We remember that late last night Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli has confirmed that Vucinqi has also been allowed to visit Weyman Lake following EU pressure.
