In a communiqué from this ministry, it is said that regarding what is working on increasing security in communications on the part of the Ministry of infrastructure, Lekaj stressed that reports of accidents caused in traffic bother us all.
“Since receiving the mandate as minister of Infrastructure my priority has been to establish security in communications. This security is accomplished by building high - standard roads, but we will not be enough. I've also created the Task Force for Security in communications with ministry experts and foreign experts on relevant areas. This Task-Forca, it's working every day on the ground to calculate the black dots where it's being caused by” accidents, Lekaj said.
He added that after the end of this commission's work, there will be recommendations to provide concrete solutions related to reducing the number of accidents on the road.
According to our ministry reports, I can say there are positive signs of a decline in accidents compared to last year. The number of accidents for the January-August period of this year has dropped by about 13 percent, compared to the same period last year, the percentage of fatal accidents has decreased by 17 percent. My call is:“All roads without accidents“”, he said further.
With this, according to Lekaj, it means that no damage to the road generation is meant not to be damaged: signalling, lighting, flexible-protective qualities, to conduct technical checks in order, and many other actions -- Kosovo Police are more educational than punishable.
In this direction we have adopted several administrative guidelines, for the level of driving education, and also, recategorisation of roads, so that we can take some more routes under the ministry's responsibility, in order to signal and rebuild. In co-operation with Kosovo College „Thempulll and Police, we have worked on organising awareness campaigns for increased security in communications. Our work should not be stopped until we experience danger on our streets“”, Lekaj said.
Nora Hasani, director of the German-Kosovo Economic Ode, director of the Koligit“, also spoke at this security increase table in road communications. Temple“as well as other communications experts.
We also talk about preparing plans and actions to educate new generations to manage traffic as well as road safety and all other activities related to this assurance.
Participants at this table were also members of: Kosovo Security Force ( The KSF), the Kosovo Police, the Firefighters, associates of the Kosovo Railways, the Kosovo Bureau of Insurance, the ARRKS, and various experts and representatives of other institutions.
