Lorik Cana wins Albanian Sport Ambassador's award, also honoured son of Fadil Vokrrit

Friday's Galaı Night at the Palace of Brigades in the capital was all about Albanian sports ambassadors. Prices and assessments during a show that brought together Friday evening, football world personalities, top leaders of the Albanian Football Federation (President Duka, Vice President Libohova and Secretary General Shulku), people with major contributions to sports, as well as many others. After the announcement of nominations in early September, the awards were shared yesterday evening.
The chairman of the jury was the president of the FSF himself, Mr. Armand Duka, who handed the main award to the former captain of the national football team, Lorik Canas.
The nomination for this award was Lorik Cana, Igli Tare, and Edwin Murati, all three former red team football players.
In his greeting, President Duka stressed: “A event proving contributions given to the sports field. We were in real difficulty selecting the winner, as everyone has his own weight and potential. However, such an evening brings the best value of the sport, and such an initiative should be hailed and praised”, Duka stressed.
This evening cost him a comet with even a special award to Kosovo football legend. Fadil Vokrri, who got out of life a few months ago. Mr. Vorri gave the award to Mr. Minister of Education and Sports, Mr. Constantine Short.
While boxer Luan Krasniqi was praised at other awards, in a noble act associated this public assessment (in online voting) with Mr. Hakki Doc, another nominated candidate.
A career prize went to Mr. Igli Tare, Sports Director of Lazio. The mother of national football team Ansi Agolli pulled from former national team coach Gianni De Biasi, the award at a time that was also praised by goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha, as well as athletes Izmir Smajal, Erblin Bici and Elizabeth Karaball.
This evening, representatives of the Accredited Diplomatic Corps in Tirana, Mayor Veliaj, business and media representatives, and many other personalities were present.
Divided prices are closely linked to social projects support in Albania and Kosovo. The aim of this initiative is to inspire people to act and make positive changes through sports. /SS/
