KSF military transformation lasts a decade

Security issues indictees say any dilemma has been lifted that Serb MPs will support the creation of the Kosovo Army. Representatives of Kosovo institutions have already launched procedures for transforming the KSF, despite this could be used as an argument from Serbia, that the military is under way without the consent of Kosovo Serbs.

Days ago, a report by the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies showed that the mass evacuations of Serb KSF members were orchestrated by military intelligence elements from Belgrade and Vranja.

And this has yielded considerable results in terms of Serbian politics. And, now, they've gone away masovically and Kosovo is not meeting that particular quota it has for the Serb community, other communities are represented, but Serbian representation has remained to say desired, but it's not that criteria have been met” said Tahiri.

The collapse of multiethnicity targeted by Serbia certainly to be used as an argument on its part, that the military is being created without consent and participation of Kosovo Serbs, is not seen as a problem by Kosovo Security Force leaders. KSF Deputy Minister Burim Ramadani said the KSF's transformation will now begin and last 10 years, until it is recognised by all countries that have recognised Kosovo state.

The government days ago has prosecuted the draft law on transforming KSF into the Kosovo Armed Forces. And the international factor has continued to reiterate that it will support this process, only through constitutional changes, where 2/3 of minority deputies' votes are required.
