Kryeziu calls this Vetevendosje paradoxic action, counting numerous reasons for this party's failure.
Here's the full reaction:
Protests like this today, how they limit the power but make Thaci powerful! ?
(The need for opposition and civil society to lead with political alternatives, to bring Thaci down from power, or to limit decision-making power. If that's really the point? )
Today's protest was paradoxical. To protest the defence of the Republic, which was strongly protested in February 2007, where I was one of the protesters myself. The republic, which the VV has identified with Thaci, has today protested to protect him, yes, from Thaci. It really is the lack of political vision, or worse, in my political interpretation that means ten years behind Thaci's idea and vision.
Protests against dialogue in Vienna against the Ahtisaari plan, against demarcation with Montenegro, already against the concluding dialogue for normalising relations with Serbia, have always only further strengthened Hashim Thaci's position. Throughout this process of more than ten years, it has emerged victorious. The others are just protesters and consumers of reality created by Him.
Consequently, this country has had and needs protests to bring it down, or to reduce the decision-making power of Hashim Thaci, but in no way to strengthen it. From my angle, for years of intent or not, as well as today, wrong strategy has been selected and the effect is the empowering of Hashim Thaci's power. He has walked in his planning, leaving the opposition and civil society behind, which by turning it into target, have made no effort to offer any strategy, or vision to take power off or to reduce power.
He's never dealt with our political ideas and vision, because we've never acted before him. We never managed to force him to deal with the issues we've raised. But we're constantly dealing with the politics, vision and decisions he's made.
Never has any protest or cause even begun with the opposition's union against ill-governance, corruption or capture of the state, which Hashim Thaci is supposed to have done. In terms of foreign policy, dialogue with Serbia and the closure of Kosovo's status, it is almost impossible to beat, only by rejecting his ideas, without presenting any alternative.
Therefore, the energy of opposition and civil society should focus on producing new exit ideas from this blockade and where they are leaders, while Hashim Thaci is forced to be their successor. This political innovation should occur as soon as possible, otherwise the opposition and the US will continue to make their lives at the level of the performers of Thaci's political ideas, but not of producing ideas and political decision making! Furthermore, as we today will protest, and after ten years in defense of what Thaci will now make mandatory solutions.
