Konjufca guarantees Saturday's protest will not continue

For days, LVV has published promotional videos and has held gatherings inviting citizens and activists to protest against President Hashim Thaci's idea of correcting the borders, which they say includes subsumption of territories.

“We can ensure that the protest will be calm and peaceful and constantly call for this to be so. I am convinced that the 29 September protest will be peaceful. If 30 protests were organized, 20 were quiet. All those who haven't been quiet have been with some kind of scenario. Any Vetevendosje protest takes place within Vetevendosje's scenario. We need only one thing, to show before the world we're too much and we're not with the idea of President”, Conjufca said.

In debate as to how far protests in Kosovo work, the MP said they do not give up this democratic tool, since according to him they can give direction to a state.

“I think that the 2016 protests have been very dangerous and larger in post-war Kosovo. Tens of thousands have attended. I am not saying that all issues in Kosovo have been resolved through protests, but protest is one of the most important institutions of world civilization. Had they been shameful or dangerous, they had not been through all international conventions and the constitutions of the countries”, Konjufca said.

He added that their aim in this protest is to bring up an image around the world for the numbers of people who oppose the Kosovo president's idea in dialogue with Serbia.
