The leader of the largest opposition Party in Serbia, Cedomir Jovanovic, has spoken about the idea of correcting the borders between Kosovo and Serbia.
He praised Kosovo as the separate “rast” and added that the idea of changing borders in the Balkans is not generally good.
“generally, border change is not good. This is one of the principles of the security policy base”, Jovanovic said in Podgorica.
He has added that Kosovo is a special case, and that the region should be the biggest ally on this issue, since the consequences for the region certainly exist.
According to him, the region should also acknowledge that without a stable and peaceful Serbia there is no peace.
When the entire region has realized that there is no national issue that can be resolved without the consent of other states and peoples, then we can talk about the European Balkans”, Jovanovic said.
For statements by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq for Slobodan Milosevic's leadership, he said he wants to stay away from these statements, adding that the most difficult part now is to convince the people that they are wanting peace agreements as a solution with Kosovo.
