The great writer Ismail Kadare as he comments on the long-standing issue of borders between Kosovo and Serbia, says he has to preserve Kosovo's territorial integrity. In a conversation for Presevo Ione, he stresses that <x0cc any claim of moving borders or partitioning Kosovo would not be in favour of peace and stability in the region. Albanians and Serbs dialogue and agreement are also in Brussels, but neither is it at the damage to Kosovo's sovereignty!
Ismail Kadare fully agrees with the international community and joins their voices about the invulnerability of borders, which according to the noted writer, are “things not only sensitive in the mixed Balkans but also dangerous for the region's prospects after all that effort, after all that investment, energy from internationals for promoting peace and stability in the region, following all the suffering and horror that the Balkans had experienced in the past<x1.
Not wanting to enter such nonsense, shopping, as Kadare puts it, with proposals about the partitioning of Kosovo, he has expressed for the national intelligence agency “Our Project”, fundamentally against partition, which according to him, “still must preserve the territorial integrity of the state of the Republic of Kosovo and any claim for the movement of borders or the fragmentation of Kosovo would not be in favour of peace and stability in the region.
Albanians and Serbs dialogue and agreement are also in Brussels, but neither is it at the damage to Kosovo's sovereignty! Nobody is right, Serbia is not going to violate the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo. The recitals between the North and the Presevo Valley, since the latter are uncomfortable..”
Even, according to Kadare, “ -- the suffering of the people of Kosovo -- today is not becoming enough for this part of Europe. Any commitment to Kosovo is never enough, because it deserves much more...”.
Later, commenting on the hot situation in Kosovo and the Presevo Valley of Kadare, notes that, “situata in the Presevo Valley is unacceptable, where the local population, ethnic Albanians on their own lands, still in this century faces discrimination of their basic rights.
Therefore, the prospect of the Presevo Valley, like other parts of the Balkans, must be toward Europe, which can be done with a greater commitment by representatives of the Valley in collaboration with the international factor. Therefore, I repeat that for the Albanian people, both in Kosovo and in the Presevo Valley, with a past with great difficulties and sacrifices, we can say it is not becoming enough and enough for them, as they deserve even more. It's never much to do for them. It's always a little...” points out the great writer.
Meanwhile, in terms of visits by the head of the Serbian state to Kosovo, Kadare says, “as Kosovo Serbs expect their high personalities from a neighbouring country, Albanians of the Presevo Valley are eligible and willing, at least not to be forgotten, to be visited by our personalities from Pristina and Tirana”.
The “representatives of our people, and not only these, but all of us: writers, intellectuals, youth, as we face a series of challenges, many great tasks and responsibilities await us for the future of our nation, so we should not stop working, we must continue our mission for the development of our nation, for a better and safer future, and for Europe”, it has said at the end of Kadare.
